pub enum ArcScales {
Explicit {
displacement: f64,
rotation: Option<f64>,
load: f64,
},
Auto {
load: f64,
},
}Expand description
The dimensionless continuation metric W = diag(1/u*^2 | 1/theta*^2),
beta = 1/lambda* (docs/arclength.md §3).
Variants§
Explicit
Characteristic translation displacement, rotation rotation
(required when the model has independent rotational DOFs) and load
factor load, all finite and positive.
Auto
Derive the translation/rotation scales from the first elastic
tangent: with K v = p, u* = load * max |v_i| over independent
translations (theta* likewise over rotations), so a load-factor
change of load and the displacement it causes weigh equally.
Derived once per phase and reported in ArcStepInfo.
