Expand description

Per-step continuation diagnostics (StepResult::arc).

Fields§

§radius: f64

Radius of the accepted attempt.

§next_radius: f64

Radius proposed for the next step.

§retries: usize

Cutbacks before the accepted attempt.

§corrector_solves: usize

Corrector solves in the accepted attempt.

§factorizations: usize

Bordered factorizations across every attempt, predictors included.

§force_measure: f64

Force-test measure at acceptance (||r|| for NormUnbalance, the largest scaled component for Combined).

§arc_error: f64

|g| / s^2 at acceptance.

§chord_length: f64

Accumulated accepted chord length in the metric.

§det_sign: Option<i8>

Sign of det K near the accepted state (from the last bordered factorization of the step), when one was available.

§bifurcation_suspected: bool

det K changed sign while lambda kept its direction: the step probably crossed a bifurcation and stayed on the primary branch.

§displacement_scale: f64

The metric’s translation scale (explicit or derived).

§rotation_scale: Option<f64>

The metric’s rotation scale, when the model has rotational DOFs.

§stop: Option<ArcStop>

Set on the step that met a stop criterion.
